Kensington Palace
From Queen Mary to Queen Victoria and Princess Margaret to Princess Diana, it is the feminine influence of generations of Royal women that has shaped this stylish palace and its elegant gardens. Bought in 1689, the house was adapted for royal residence by Sir Christopher Wren and for the next 70 years it played host to the courts of William and Mary, Queen Anne, George I and George II. It was also the childhood home of Princess Victoria and the place where she found out she had become Queen.
Explore the finery of this stylish palace, and the stories behind it. Discover for yourself some of Kensington's sights and stories, whether you're planning your visit, or just wanting to learn more about this beautiful palace and its history.
